Due to insufficient production capacity of Zhongxin Aviation's battery cells, some Huawei Zhijie models have begun to switch to CATL battery cells.
According to sources at Hongmeng Intelligent Driving, due to insufficient production capacity for Zhongxin Aviation battery cells, some Zhijie models will be equipped with a batch of 82-degree batteries from CATL (a hybrid of ternary lithium-ion and lithium iron manganese phosphate). Previously, these vehicles were equipped with batteries of the same specification from Zhongxin Aviation. The performance, lifespan, and functionality of both brands' batteries meet the standards of Huawei's "Whale" battery platform, and their warranty policies are the same. According to a source familiar with the matter, this move is intended to expedite vehicle deliveries and ensure that users can benefit from the national purchase tax exemption (a reduction of 30,000 yuan this year and 15,000 yuan next year). The source also stated that while CATL battery cells cost more than Zhongxin Aviation, the vehicle prices remain unchanged.
