Counterpoint: China expected to account for more than 50% of global foldable phone shipments by 2024

Counterpoint's latest report pointed out that the year-on-year shipments of foldable smartphone displays fell for the first time in the third quarter of 2024, and shipments are expected to continue to decline in 2025.

The agency expects Apple to enter the market in the second half of 2026.

According to the report, China is the world's largest and most important foldable smartphone market, and is expected to account for more than 50% of global foldable phone shipments in 2024.
