CATL's new technology can achieve thermal runaway without open flames or smoke

On September 7th, Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL) debuted its NP3.0 (No Propogation 3.0) technology platform, the highest safety rating in the battery industry, in Munich, Germany. The company also officially released the first lithium iron phosphate power battery product equipped with this technology, the Shenxing Pro. CATL claims that this technology eliminates flames and smoke during thermal runaway, preventing secondary accidents caused by obstructed vision.
