At the 13th International Energy Storage Summit and Exhibition held recently, CATL exhibited a 587Ah large-capacity battery cell integrated in the new energy storage system "Tianheng". It is reported that CATL's 587Ah battery cell has better safety performance than small batteries while achieving an ultra-high energy density of 430Wh/L. At the same time, the battery cell introduces bionic SEI membrane technology to reduce the consumption of active lithium, ensuring that the battery's full life cycle can handle 48% more power than the previous generation, and increasing IRR by 2%~3%.
