BioNTech's U.S. stock price once rose nearly 12% before the market opened. The company closed up more than 18% in the previous trading day. Multinational pharmaceutical giant Bristol-Myers Squibb announced that it had reached a licensing agreement with German biotechnology company BioNTech for a new generation of anti-cancer drug BNT327, with milestone payments of up to $11.1 billion.
