A-share midday review: ChiNext Index rose over 2% in the first half of the day, led by gaming, battery, and auto parts sectors
The three major A-share indices rose collectively in the morning session. By midday, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.22%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.07%, the ChiNext Index rose 2.13%, and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index rose 1.18%. The Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing stock markets had a half-day trading volume of 1.5247 trillion yuan, down 124 billion yuan from the previous day. Over 2,000 stocks rose across the board. In terms of sectoral themes, gaming, battery, pork, auto parts, energy metals, and robotics concept stocks led the gains, while real estate, precious metals, steel, computing power, and defense industries led the declines. The battery and lithium mining sectors surged, with CATL hitting a record high. Stocks like Tianci Materials, Shangtai Technology, and Baili Technology hit their daily limit. The gaming sector continued its intraday gains, with Star Entertainment hitting its 20cm daily limit and Perfect World hitting its daily limit. The prepared meal and pork sectors fluctuated at high levels, with Delisi and Aonong Bio hitting their daily limit. The auto parts sector saw a majority of gains, with Zhejiang Shibao, Top Group, and Wanxiang Qianchao hitting their daily limit. On the downside, the real estate sector rebounded after a surge, with Fuxing shares hitting their limit down. Steel, precious metals, and state-owned cloud sectors also saw declines.
