A-share midday review: ChiNext Index rose 2.34% in the first half of the day, with lithium battery and energy metal sectors rising sharply
The three major A-share indices all rose in the morning session. By midday, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.16%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.93%, the ChiNext Index rose 2.34%, and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index rose 2.47%. The three stock exchanges in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing had a half-day trading volume of 1.8752 trillion yuan, a 67 billion yuan increase from the previous day. Over 2,000 stocks rose across the board. In terms of sectors, lithium batteries, liquor, insurance, innovative pharmaceuticals, and non-ferrous metals led the gains, while technology sectors such as semiconductors, computing power, lithography equipment, and Zhipu AI led the declines. Insurance stocks surged early in the session, with New China Life Insurance hitting its daily limit before retreating. Liquor stocks rebounded collectively, with Shede Wine, Jiugui Liquor, and Wuliangye all rising. The lithium battery sector saw intraday gains, with CATL surging over 10%. Innovative pharmaceutical stocks also rebounded sharply, with Kangchen Pharmaceutical and Huahai Pharmaceutical hitting their daily limit. Semiconductor and computing power sectors saw adjustments today. Cambricon fell as much as over 8% in early trading, while North Huachuang, Chengdu Huawei, and Loongson Technology all declined. CPO-related stocks showed mixed performance, with Changxin Broadcom and Dekeli falling over 10%, while Changfei Optical Fiber and Tianfu Communication led the gains.
