A-share closing review: Shanghai Composite Index fluctuated slightly and fell by 0.1%, with defensive sectors such as banks, coal and electricity leading the gains

The three major A-share indexes fell collectively today. As of the close, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.1%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.32%, the ChiNext Index fell 0.28%, and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index fell 2.85%. The total market turnover was 1,506.9 billion yuan, a decrease of 57.3 billion yuan from the previous day. More than 3,700 stocks fell in the entire market. In terms of sector themes, the military equipment reorganization, precious metals, electricity, banking, coal, and agricultural machinery sectors led the gains; CPO, copper cable high-speed connection, AI PC, and computing power leasing concept stocks led the declines. On the market, today's hot topics are relatively scattered. Affected by the continued record highs in international gold prices, gold stocks fluctuated higher, Laisen Tongling went out of 5 days and 3 boards, and Huayu Mining once hit the daily limit. The power sector performed actively today, with Shaoneng Shares, Jiaze New Energy, and Guang'an Aizhong hitting the daily limit. The banking sector fluctuated higher in the afternoon, and the market index once turned red across the board. Ningbo Bank, Chongqing Bank, and Changshu Bank led the gains. Most of Nvidia and CPO concept stocks adjusted today. Shengyi Technology and Jingwang Electronics hit the limit down during trading, while Taichen Optoelectronics, Tianfu Communication and Xinyi Sheng all fell.
