A-share closing review: ChiNext Index rose nearly 2% to hit a new high in more than 3 years, and robot concept stocks continued to explode

The three major A-share indices all rose today. By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.37%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.16%, the ChiNext Index rose 1.95%, and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index fell 0.6%. Total trading volume for the three markets totaled 2.4029 trillion yuan, a 35.9 billion yuan increase from the previous day. Over 2,500 stocks rose across the board. Among the sectors, lithography equipment, diversified financials, wind power equipment, robotics, and copper cable high-speed connectivity saw the largest gains, while precious metals, tourism and hotels, pork, liquor, retail, and logistics saw the largest declines. Lithography equipment stocks surged in early trading, with Wavelength Optoelectronics, Kaimet Gas, and Yongxin Optics hitting their daily limit. Robotics stocks continued their strong performance, with Wanxiang Qianchao hitting the daily limit for three consecutive days, Joyson Electronics hitting the daily limit for two consecutive days, and Haowen Automotive and Wolong Electric Drive stocks surging. The battery sector rallied during the session, with both CATL's A-share and H-shares hitting new highs. The semiconductor sector also performed strongly, with both SMIC's A-share and H-shares hitting new highs. In addition, the gaming, wind power, and copper sectors all saw intraday fluctuations. Gold stocks mostly adjusted today, with Western Gold falling over 6% at one point. The tourism and hotel sectors opened high but closed lower, with Junting Hotel, Three Gorges Tourism, and Xiyu Tourism leading the decline.
