Apple launches Invites app, tweaks Care+ service plans to bolster subscription revenue

Apple on Tuesday launched Invites, a new app for creating event invitations, and tweaked its AppleCare+ service plans for the iPhone.

The Invites app allows users to organize events such as birthday parties.

And the app can also customize invitations using the Apple Intelligence AI platform, create playlists in Apple's music streaming service, and generate shared photo albums for events.

The app is free to download, but requires an iCloud+ subscription that starts at $0.99 per month.
