The U.S. federal government has agreed to exempt electronic products such as smartphones, computers, and chips from so-called "reciprocal tariffs." According to foreign media reports, the measure may alleviate the price increase pressure faced by American consumers to a certain extent, while benefiting electronics giants including Apple and Samsung Electronics. Klein, a technology industry expert and analyst at Mizuho Securities, said that this tariff exemption covers all key electronic products that were originally at risk of being subject to high tariffs. Apple and its entire supply chain, as well as personal computer manufacturers and semiconductor and memory suppliers will be the winners. Ives, a star analyst at the well-known U.S. investment bank Wedbush, said, "The technology giants can breathe a sigh of relief."
