Amazon says its AWS cloud services are back up and running after outage

Amazon Web Services, the world's largest cloud provider, said it has resolved a roughly 15-hour outage on Monday that highlighted how much of the internet relies on a single company. In an update on its service health, the Amazon unit said it "returned to normal operations at approximately 6 p.m. New York time." The outage, caused by a database networking issue, disrupted hundreds of websites and apps, including Venmo, Robinhood Marketplace, and Apple Music and Apple TV.
