Alibaba's Hong Kong stock jumped more than 7% on Thursday morning and is now trading at HK$139.3 per share.

Not long ago, Alibaba's cloud computing arm, Alibaba Cloud, released and open-sourced a new inference model, Tongyi Qwen QwQ-32B.

In a press release, Alibaba Cloud said, "Through large-scale reinforcement learning, Qwen QwQ-32B achieves a qualitative leap in mathematical, coding and generalization capabilities, and its overall performance compares favorably to DeepSeek-R1."

The company revealed, "While maintaining strong performance, Qwen QwQ-32B also dramatically reduces the cost of deployment and usage, enabling local deployment on consumer graphics cards.

Currently, QwQ-32B has been open-sourced based on the loose Apache 2.0 protocol on platforms such as ModelScope Community and HuggingFace, where everyone can download the model for free for local deployment, or call the model API service directly through Alibaba Cloud's Bailian platform.
