Alibaba Cloud announced that Tongyi officially open-sourced the network agent WebSailor. Currently, the construction plan and some data sets of WebSailor have been open-sourced on Github. According to Alibaba Cloud, the test results of the English and Chinese versions of the BrowseComp evaluation set show that WebSailor-32B and WebSailor-72B not only achieved a huge lead in the open source model and agent camp, but also surpassed closed source models such as DeepSeek R1 and Grok-3, second only to the closed source OpenAI DeepResearch.
