AMD acquires open source software company Brium to increase investment in AI
AMD announced on Wednesday that it has acquired open source software company Brium to further enhance its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. "This acquisition solidifies our foundation for long-term innovation. It reflects our strategic commitment to artificial intelligence, especially to developers building the future of intelligent applications. This is also the latest in a series of targeted investments we have made following the acquisitions of Sili AI, Nod.ai and Mipsology. Together, these investments enhance our ability to support the open source software ecosystem and provide optimized performance on AMD hardware," AMD said on its website. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
