According to Hainan Daily, on March 8, Hainan Unicom and ZTE completed the first 10G optical network pilot deployment in the province's key park in Lingshui Li'an International Education Innovation Experimental Zone, verifying the feasibility of smooth upgrade of existing network equipment and laying the foundation for the large-scale deployment of 10G networks in the province. According to on-site measurements in the park, the peak rates of both upstream and downstream exceeded 10,000 Mbps, which is 5 to 10 times higher than the current 10G PON gigabit network bandwidth, and a 1G file can be transmitted within 1 second.
