Asian Tech Press (Nov 8) -- Hyundai Motor Group plans to build a plant in the U.S. where its urban air mobility subsidiary Supernal will produce flying electric taxis for commuters.
The company will show a prototype of the flying electric taxi at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next January, Supernal Chief Executive Officer Jaiwon Shin said in an interview Tuesday.
It will be able to fly at 120 miles (about 190 kilometers) per hour and accommodate a pilot and four passengers.
Supernal aims to start a test flight in December 2024 and begin utilizing the flying car for commercial services four years later.
