Asia Tech Wire (Sep 10) -- Chinese electric car maker Zeekr (NYSE: ZK) has responded to the news of splitting up its intelligence team by saying that the news is untrue.

An industry source revealed on Tuesday that Zeekr is spinning off its intelligentization team, making it operate with independent financing for more freedom.

The team mainly consists of smart driving solutions, smart cockpit and other departments involved in Zeekr's intelligent business.

The spin-off, which involves roughly 2,000 to 3,000 employees, the source said, took place under the auspices of Li Cui, an assistant to Zeekr CEO Conghui An.
