Asian Tech Press (Feb 15) -- Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi Corp said there are more than 4,000 positions are recruiting, denying rumors of 10% layoffs.

The person in charge of relevant business at Xiaomi said on Tuesday that the company has not yet had any layoffs since its start-up, and that more than 4,000 popular positions are still open for talent, and that Xiaomi welcomes talented people to join.

Inside sources said that at least some of Xiaomi's internal business departments, including the marketing division, did not have any staff changes in the near future.

Previously there were rumors that Xiaomi will lay off 10% of its staff, which mainly includes departments such as mobile hardware, application stores, intelligence, technology, etc. And the main scope of layoffs is for employees whose performance is C, but also B and B+ employees involved.
