Xiaomi is filing for registration of the trademark “Xiaomi car”, which has been applied by a textile company, according to enterprise information.

According to Chinese enterprise information provider Tianyancha, Xiaomi Corporation on 1 April filed for registration of the trademark “Xiaomi car”. Its international classification is for hand tools and implements, with registration number 54856491. The trademark is currently in the status of applying and waiting for approval.

The trademark “Xiaomi car” has been applied for registration in Chin’s Trademark Office by a Shaoxing-based textile company on 12 March this year, also waiting for approval.

There seems to be a dispute on trademark registration. It’s interesting to wait and see how Xiaomi handles trademark registration matters.
