Vietnam's health ministry announced on Tuesday that the country had approved Moderna Inc's COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use, according to Reuters.

Vietnam has previously granted conditional approval for four COVID-19 vaccines, including Pfizer Inc.'s Comirnaty, AstraZeneca plc's A2D1222, Russia's Sputnik V and China's Sinopharm vaccine, to meet the urgent need for prevention and control of the COVID-19 outbreak.
