According to media reports, chip foundry United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) will increase foundry prices for 28nm and 22nm processes.

The report said that UMC had informed its customers that they would raise foundry prices for 28nm and 22nm processes in September, November, and January next year.

Suppose UMC increases the foundry price of 28nm and 22nm process. In that case, the foundry cost of chips using UMC's two types of processes will be significantly increased, and chip suppliers will also increase their prices, increasing the price of related chips.
