Asian Tech Press (Mar. 3) -- The Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine issued a letter urging Microsoft's Xbox and Sony's PlayStation to leave the Russian market.
As the Russia-Ukraine conflict continues, Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine's vice prime minister and minister of digital transformation, recently has tweeted and asked a lot of technology companies to stop doing business in Russia.
Fedorov directly tweeted an open letter to all game development companies and esports platforms on Wednesday, asking to temporarily block all Russian and Belarusian accounts, temporarily stop all Russian and Belarusian teams and gamers from participating in all international eSports events, and cancel all international events held on the territory of Russia and Belarus.
He also singled out Microsoft's video gaming brand Xbox and Japanese electronics company Sony's gaming brand PlayStation, asking both brands to leave the Russian market.
The younger PM said, "You are definitely aware of what is happening in Ukraine right now. Russia declare war not for Ukraine but for all civilized world. support human values, you should live the Russian market!"
Both brands have not responded to Fedorov's request on the social platform for now.
