Asian Tech Press (Nov 15) -- The U.K. reportedly intends to launch an in-depth probe into Nvidia's acquisition of Arm.
The British government is expected to order an in-depth investigation into Nvidia's planned $40 billion takeover of British chip designer Arm Ltd. for anti-trust and national security reasons, the Sunday Times reported Sunday.
The report said Nadine Dorries, Britain's minister for digital, culture, media and sport, is expected to instruct the competition and markets authority to launch a "phase 2" probe into the deal next week.
