Asia Tech Wire (Sep 26) -- Ubisoft has delayed the release of action role-playing game Assassin's Creed Shadows due to poor initial sales of the latest title Star Wars Outlaws.
The company said in a statement that Assassin's Creed Shadows will debut on February 14, 2025, despite being "feature complete."
Marc-Alexis Côté, who is responsible for producing the game, said in a statement that they "need more time to polish and refine the experience, pushing further some of our key features."
The company initially planned to release Assassin's Creed Shadows this November.
Ubisoft said it now expects net bookings for the fiscal second quarter to come in at between 350 million euros and 370 million euros, versus a previous estimate of about 550 million euros.
