Uber fails to pay some EV drivers bonuses in time
Mar.11,2021

Uber has failed to pay special bonuses to some drivers who use electric vehicles in time, in accordance with its EV promotion plan launched last year.

After receiving inquiries from media, Uber says the error stemmed from a technical failure and the company has begun paying bonuses to those drivers.

In an email, Uber spokeswoman Lois Van Der Laan says that only a small percentage of electric car drivers were affected. And as a “just compensation", the company would pay them 110 percent of their bonuses. She declined to disclose how many drivers had not received their EV bonuses, and the total amount of bonuses the company had paid.
