Asia Tech Wire (Aug 19) -- U.S. District Judge Margaret Garnett issued a preliminary injunction Friday blocking the launch of Venu Sports.

The streaming service, co-launched by Fox, Disney's ESPN sports network and Warner Bros. Discovery, was set to go live this fall, covering about 55% of U.S. sports broadcast rights.

Garnett said a joint venture between the three media giants would significantly reduce competition and restrict trade.
