Asia Tech Wire (June 18) -- The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) sued Photoshop maker Adobe for concealing subscription cancellation fees.
The FTC announced Monday that it is taking action against Adobe and two of its executives for defrauding consumers by concealing the early termination fee for its most popular subscription plan and making it difficult for consumers to cancel their subscriptions.
The U.S. Department of Justice filed the lawsuit in federal court after receiving a notice and referral from the FTC, alleging that Adobe marketed its subscription plan to consumers without adequately disclosing that canceling the plan in the first year could cost hundreds of dollars.
