TSMC's major customers cut chip orders since Q3

Asian Tech Press (Oct 31) -- TSMC's major customers for its foundry services, including MediaTek and Nvidia, have been cutting chip orders since the third quarter.

Semiconductor industry has seen rising chip inventories and slowing demand, the storm of order cuts has spread to wafer foundries, even TSMC can not resist.

Since the third quarter of this year, TSMC's top ten customers have been cutting orders, with Nvidia and AMD cutting orders and delaying shipments more than expected.

Nevertheless, TSMC, the world's largest contract chipmaker, is confident in its future outlook, which hinges on orders from Apple.

In addition, looking ahead to 2023, TSMC maintains growth based on the release of new orders from customers such as Nvidia and Qualcomm.
