According to NHK reports, Japanese chipmaker Renesas Electronics outsourced some of its products to TSMC. Its factory was hit by a fire last month, affecting chip production.

Sources close to the matter said TSMC has agreed to the Japanese government and Renesas. It will accelerate shipments, aiming to be faster than the other party's requested time.
