TrendForce indicates that in the first quarter of this year, global sales of new energy vehicles totaled 1.09 million units, including 750,000 pure electric vehicles (EV), an annual increase of 153%; plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) sales of 340,000 units, an annual increase of 128%.

China remains the largest market share in the pure electric vehicle sector, with its own brands taking three of the top five seats. Tesla holds the top spot with a 24.6% market share.
