TikTok, the most successful Chinese app, and its parent company ByteDance are facing a privacy lawsuit in London filed on behalf of millions of children in the UK and Europe.

TikTok is accused of violating the data protection law of the U.K. and European Union. The group backing the lawsuit said in a statement on Wednesday that it aims to stop TikTok from "illegally processing information about millions of children" and to ask TikTok to delete any personal information.
