Chinese automaker Changan Automobile (Group) Co., Ltd. announced on Friday that Changan-Nio joint venture, a holding subsidiary, was officially renamed Avatar Technology.
According to the announcement, Avatar will be fully market-oriented, independently operated, and independently developed.
Changan Auto will develop the world's leading electric networked-vehicle intelligence platform (codenamed CHN) with Avatar based on the strength of three parties, including Huawei and CATL.
In the tripartite cooperation, Huawei will play its advantage of information and communication technologies (ICTs), with CATL as a battery provider and a new energy solution service provider.
