Asian Tech Press (Apr. 11) -- Tesla's China-made EV exports plunged to just 60 units in March due to strong local demand.

Tesla Inc. exported a record low of just 60 vehicles from its Shanghai plant in March, as strong local demand in China sucked up most of the production.

Tesla's Shanghai plant shipped a total of 65,814 vehicles last month, the vast majority of which, 65,754 units, were sold to the local Chinese market.

Last month's output reached Tesla's highest level since last December, despite a four-day-long plant shutdown during that period due to COVID-19 outbreak in Shanghai.
