A Singaporean newspaper reported that U.S. electric car maker Tesla Inc (TSLA: NASDAQ GS) had announced that the company has filed with Chinese regulators to recall some imported Model 3 vehicles in China.

Citing Reuters, the outlet said that according to a statement obtained from the company, Tesla said the recall is not related to brake failure and that, "there has never been a case of brake failure, nor have we received any cases of crash or injury caused by it."

In addition, the company stated that there were no such problems with Model 3 or Model Y made in China.
