Asian Tech Press (Dec 06) -- According to media reports, on Saturday, Tesla launched FSD Beta 10.6, the latest full self-driving (FSD) beta version, to some U.S. owners.

FSD Beta 10.5 is already a significant improvement for many users, but FSD Beta 10.6 contains substantial improvements, for example, major improvements to the target detection network architecture.

In this release, Tesla engineers focused primarily on target detection, visibility, and improvements in the overall performance of the suite, particularly the accuracy and predictability of target detection.

Tesla claims that FSD Beta 10.5 has improved accuracy in the visibility network, resulting in an 18.5% reduction in average relative error. In addition, Tesla has improved the detection accuracy of static objects (e.g., cones, bins, boxes, utility poles) by 17% in high curvature and relatively dark nighttime environments.
