Tesla allegedly invades privacy for publicizing driving data of the female protester
Apr.23,2021

According to the latest news, the husband of the woman protesting at the Shanghai Auto Show accuses Tesla of breaching the vehicle owner's privacy.

At around 4:30 p.m. Beijing time, April 22, Tesla provided the official media of China's State Administration for Market Regulation with the driving data for the minute before the accident and made a written statement.

Subsequently, the husband of the woman who denounced Tesla brake failure responded late at night to an official media in Henan that Tesla had released the data without the consent of the owner and her families, which infringed on the owner's privacy and the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.

The husband of the owner is going to file a complaint with the Market Supervision Bureau to get Tesla to publicly apologize and withdraw the published statement.

Since the owner is still in detention, her husband said he would wait until his wife is released from detention before dealing with matters related to driving data.
