Asian Tech Press -- Tencent Music Entertainment Group (NYSE:TME), the music streaming arm of Tencent Holdings Ltd (700: Hong Kong), will soon launch its NFT art platform "TME Digital Collections" in August, according to insiders.

QQ Music, Tencent Music's flagship music app, is currently conducting internal testing of the platform services, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The platform will rely on blockchain technology to issue virtual digital collectibles to users. Such technology may be applied to digital albums and limited peripheral products in the future.

If the news is true, QQ Music will be the first music platform in China to issue NFT digital collectibles, and the platform technology will likely go live in all of Tencent Music's products simultaneously.
