Asian Tech Press (Oct 22) -- More than 20 Chinese key app operators, including Tencent and Huawei, pledged not to listen to personal privacy at a conference held in Shenzhen on Friday.
At the meeting, officials from the operators of various application areas such as social networks, live streaming, gaming, e-commerce, finance, transportation and community services signed a self-discipline commitment formulated by the Shenzhen government on the spot.
These companies publicly promised to "not to collect information beyond the scope, not to use big data for price discrimination, not to abuse date of face recognition, not to listen to personal privacy."
