Asian Tech Press (Jan 12) -- A 19-year-old German hacker says he found a software vulnerability in Tesla's system that allowed him to remotely hack into more than 25 Tesla electric cars in 13 countries to turn off their security systems.
David Colombo, who describes himself as an "IT security specialist and hacker", said on Twitter on Tuesday that the software vulnerability in Tesla's cars allowed him to remotely open doors and windows, start the car without a key, and shut down the vehicle's security system.
