Asia Tech Wire (May 28) -- Indonesian antitrust authorities are investigating Southeast Asian Internet giant Sea Ltd. for potentially unfairly favoring its own delivery service, according to Bloomberg.
Online shoppers in Indonesia can choose which company delivers their purchases, Indonesia's antitrust watchdog, the KPPU, said at a hearing on Tuesday.
However, the KPPU accused Sea-owned e-commerce platform Shopee of setting up an algorithm that prioritized the company's delivery service over other options, including local competitors, the report said.
Shopee's legal team attended the hearing and will respond at a follow-up hearing on June 11th.
