Asia Tech Wire (July 15) -- Hanwha Energy, a key energy arm of South Korea's Hanwha Group, will build an artificial intelligence data center in the U.S. state of Texas.
Hanwha Energy has decided to build a 200-megawatt super AI data center that can run hundreds of thousands of servers in northwest Texas.
The company expects an investment of about 2 trillion won for this project.
Hanwha Energy plans to begin construction of this data center sometime next year after securing power systems and water supply.
Currently, the company is conducting a power transaction business with a 2 GW solar power plant in Texas.
