Asian Tech Press (Dec 19) -- A Sony executive hinted that the company plans to launch a new version of PS5 in 2023.
It has been 2 years since Sony released its flagship PlayStation 5 gaming console, and in fact every year there is a small revision of the model, such as optimizing the internal thermal design and reducing the weight of the body.
In an interview with Famitsu, Sony's senior vice president of Platform Experience Hideaki Nishino revealed that 2023, the third year of the PS5's release, would be a very "important" year for the platform, but he can't talk about the details at this time, just "hope you can look forward to next year."
From the previous revelations and predictions, the new PS5 will hopefully be available in September or at the end of next year, and Sony plans to completely phase out the current model before the Christmas holiday in 2023, reducing production costs by keeping only one model on the market.
