SK Hynix announced that it will make full use of its old semiconductor memory manufacturing facilities to expand its semiconductor foundry business and capture demand in niche areas such as display driver semiconductors and power management semiconductors.

Park Jung-ho, vice chairman of SK Hynix, said that this will increase foundry capacity by two times and announced that the company is "considering various strategies such as enhancing domestic equipment and mergers and acquisitions."
