Asia Tech Wire (Oct 24) -- Germany's Siemens AG is in talks over a potential deal to buy engineering software firm Altair Engineering, according to Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter.
Once a deal is struck with Altair, it would be one of Siemens' biggest acquisitions ever.
Shares of Michigan-based Altair have risen 36% so far this year, giving it a market capitalization of $9.05 billion.
