Asian Tech Press (Apr. 29) -- South Korea's Samsung will start mass production of 3nm chips in the second quarter.

Samsung Electronics announced Thursday that it will begin mass production in the second quarter using the 3GAE (3nm gate all-around early) process, the first node to use gate-all-around field effect transistors (GAAFETs).

"Enhance technology leadership via world's first mass production of GAA 3-nano process," Samsung wrote in a statement.
