Samsung Display is an essential supplier of OLED screens needed for smartphones. Apple's OLED screens for its iPhone were initially supplied exclusively by Samsung Display, which is still the main supplier.

Samsung Display is also supplying foldable OLED screens to smartphone manufacturers that are launching foldable phones one after another. Korean media reports show that Samsung Display will start producing foldable OLED screens for Xiaomi, Google, and Vivo in October.
