Asian Tech Press (Dec 31) -- Samsung has announced that it will officially launch its next-generation Exynos processor with AMD RDNA2 GPU on January 11, 2022. According to previous reports, the next-generation Exynos 2200 chip with ARMv9 architecture and GPU codename Voyager is expected to be installed in the Galaxy S22 series.
The Exynos 2200 will use the same Samsung 4nm process as the Snapdragon 8 and triple-cluster architecture as the two flagships already released. The score information shows that the CPU part of the Exynos2200 is equipped with a 2.59Ghz Cortex-X2 super core, three 2.5GHz Cortex-A78 large cores, and four 1.73GHz Cortex-A55 small cores.
It is worth mentioning that the GPU part of Exynos2200 also brings a compelling upgrade, based on AMD's RDNA2 architecture, which may run at 1250MHz, with a 17% to 20% performance increase compared to the current chip Exynos2100, which can bring more robust gaming performance.
