Samsung to introduce Inpria's inorganic photoresist for 5nm process later this year
Jul.26,2021

Asian Tech Press -- Samsung plans to introduce Inpria's inorganic photoresist by the end of this year, which is expected to be used in the 5nm process.

According to Korean media reports, Samsung is working to promote the diversification of photoresist supply, and plans to introduce Inpria's inorganic photoresist within this year.

The two sides have completed performance evaluation and are expected to apply it to the 5nm ultra-fine process.

Inpria Corp., a U.S. materials company, is reportedly the world's only manufacturer of inorganic photoresists, which can help realize ultra-fine semiconductor circuits.

The Korean electronics giant plans to strengthen the Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography (EUV) technology. The photoresist field is heavily dependent on Japan, so the company is actively promoting the diversification of photoresist supply.
