According to anonymous insiders, SK Hynix established ASCA Hynix Semiconductor in Dalian, China, to help complete the acquisition of Intel's NAND unit.

SK Hynix owns all of ASCA Hynix. The subsidiary was established to take over Intel's NAND business assets, including the Dalian plant. (Seoul Economic Daily)
